La Millette began with a feeling. The feeling of arriving somewhere and immediately slowing down. Of opening the shutters in the morning, hearing the birds outside and looking out across the valley. Long afternoons by the pool, nowhere you need to be, followed by warm evenings under the French sky.

When we found La Millette, just outside the beautiful village of Curemonte, we knew we had found something special.

We are Brian and Michiel, and over the years we have carefully made La Millette into the kind of place we love to stay ourselves: intimate, comfortable and full of character. A place where authentic French charm and modern comfort come together, without losing the simplicity that makes being here so special.

We believe luxury isn’t about having more. It is about having exactly what you need. Privacy. Space. A beautiful view. A wonderful bed. Your own pool. Good food and wine. And, perhaps most importantly, time. That is why La Millette is deliberately made for just two. No other guests, no shared spaces and no busy schedules. Just your own little corner of France, surrounded by nature and the timeless beauty of the Dordogne Valley.

We love sharing our favourite places, restaurants and villages with our guests, but La Millette is equally a place where doing absolutely nothing can be the best plan of all.

Many of our guests return. And perhaps that is the greatest compliment we could receive. Because ultimately, La Millette isn’t simply somewhere to stay. It is somewhere to come home to.
